This project purchases and distributes pre-loaded MBTA transit cards to Dorchester residents who need help with the cost of public transportation. Getting around Boston is expensive, and for many residents, the daily cost of buses and trains adds up to a real financial burden.
These cards would be distributed at community events and partner locations to reach the people who need them most. The project is simple, direct, and addresses one of the most common everyday costs that affects working families, students, and job seekers. No applications or hoops to jump through, just real support for getting where you need to go.
