This proposal is could work, but changes need to be made. Anyone, not just the author, can use the "Amend" button to make changes.

✅ Public benefit in Dorchester and nonpartisan.

✅ Fits the budget ($5k) and is doable in Summer (by August 31, 2026)

❓ We can pay for it via one of our channels (vendor contract, subgrant, stipends/microgrants, goods distribution, direct assistance).

❓ Permission in hand for any space you don’t control or pivot to a portable/off-site version.

This proposal seems like it may fit our criteria, but is missing some detail. Who would we be paying to run these classes? Where would it take place? This may also be seen as a series of classes, which would still need someone to be the coordinator.

Dancing in Dorchester

Maybe

A community dance club focused on getting folks out to fun outdoor spaces in summer, making new connections, and being active. The club would meet at different outdoor spaces and explore different styles of dance. Geared towards teens and adults, this club would provide a safe space to get moving and for people to meet new friends which can be challenging in our current culture and time.
