Votes are subject to the following rules:

  • In order to be validated proposals need to reach 50 votes.
  • Each proposal can accumulate more than 50 votes

This proposal will be funded if it meets the signature requirements.

✅ Public benefit in Dorchester and nonpartisan.

✅ Fits the budget ($5k) and is doable in the Summer (by August 31, 2026)

✅ We can pay for it via one of our channels (vendor contract, subgrant, stipends/microgrants, goods distribution, direct assistance).

✅ Permission in hand for any space you don’t control or pivot to a portable/off-site version.

While there are still some things to figure out (how to disperse funds), this small detail can be figured out after the vote.

Car repair fund

  • We would pay local car repair garages and have people apply to get their car repair expenses paid for

  • They would have the ability to apply for $100 up to $500 paid for their car repair this also depends on how much their repair costs

  • This is needed because not everyone has the funds to pay for an entire car repair, and public transportation doesn't always work out for people.
