At our first Peoples Budget Assembly in November we collectively decided the 8 budget areas we want to invest in and voted on 3 KEY investment areas to develop specific demands around during this budget season (Housing, Immigration Support, and Food Access) and one divestment area (police) and are rolling out working groups next week. Each group is meeting twice to develop proposals before our next assembly on Saturday, March 14!

DSNI is holding down a 2-session People's Budget Housing Working Group to make proposals that will go into Boston's People's Budget-- a democratic, people-led version of the City Budget. The Housing Working Group will be a group of 10 or so residents, with support from the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative, that will meet twice in February to draft proposals on how the city budget should support affordable housing.
